I spent approximately an hour in the Husky Lounge on campus. It was interesting to observe all of the different people that came in and out of this particular place. I found that while a lot of people stayed and dined in at the Husky Lounge, many students also took food to go. The students who stayed and dined were almost all with their friends. They did not dine alone. Also, it seemed that these students seemed to be very similar to their friends. For example, athletes ate with their teammates, students in greek life seemed to eat with their sororities or fraternities and etc. The students who didn't appear to be apart of something ate with student who were similar to them also. There were way more girls eating with other girls, and guys eating with other guys than mixed groups.

This suggest about college life that students in college seem to find their 'niche' so to speak. They seem to make friends that have common interests or are similar to them. This makes me wonder whether students really do start over when they go away to school or if they still find people that are just like them when they're in college. From my observations, friend groups definitely appeared to have common interests and similarities.
